Introducing Discover Oxford

In the summer of 2022, a group of citizens came together with a shared vision of revitalizing the historic Oxford Town Square. Aware of the potential that surrounds the brick-lined streets, they began the work to form a Main Street organization. By October of 2022, they had formed a legal entity and created a Board of Directors.

In February 2023, Discover Oxford officially became part of the Indiana Main Street Network as a part of the OCRA Downtown Affiliate Network. This is the base level of the program. One month later, the organization received their public charity exemption from the Internal Revenue Service.

Design

Capitalize on and enhance the visual aspects of the Town Square to create a safe, appealing and inviting atmosphere.

Organization

Builds consensus between the many vested stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure everyone is mobilized and working toward a shared vision.

Economic Vitality

Build a strong commercial district that creates a supportive environment for small businesses, entrepreneurs and consumers.

Promotion

Creates a positive image of the Town Square and encourages commercial activity and investment in the area.
